GFRC planters are manufactured from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, a composite material that combines a cement-based concrete mix with alkali-resistant glass fibers to deliver the visual weight of natural stone at 60 to 70 percent less actual weight. For outdoor spaces, GFRC is frost-proof, UV-stable, and fire-resistant to Class A1 standard. Because color pigment is mixed directly into the concrete during production rather than applied as a surface coating, the finish does not chip, fade, or peel over time. River Art Stone has been producing GFRC to architectural-grade standards since 2008.
